• The Rotating Centres are made to IS Specifications. The rotating Centres are capable of withstanding axial loads, thrust and radial loads.
• The housing (or body) of the rotating Centres are made of low carbon alloy steel, hardened to 30-40 HRC. The spindles are made of ball-bearing alloy steel, and hardened to 60-62 HRC.
• The spindles are mounted with bearings to ensure smooth running. The housings are provided with oil nipples for frequent lubrication, to maximise life of bearings.
• The alignment between the shank and front spindle is kept within 0.015 mm. And the cone runout (w.r.t.cone and taperangle) is kept within 0.005.

PLAIN CENTRES WITH MORSE TAPER
& CARBIDE TIPPED CENTRES
Features :
Plain Centres with Morse Taper
• The Plain Centres are made from carbon-chromium alloy steel, hardened to 62 HRC to withstand wear. The Plain Centres have a high surface finish to allow maximum bearing on master gauges. The runout with respect to cone and taper angle is kept within 0.005 mm.
Technical Specifications
CARBIDE TIPPED CENTRES
Features :
• The Carbide tipped Centres (CT Centres) are made of alloy steel shank fitted with tungsten-carbide tips by brazing. The shanks are made of low carbon steel hardened to 40 HRC. The cones where he carbide tips are mounted are given a fine surface finish.
Scope of Supply : • The CT Centres have carbide tips, fitted on the tront cones, as per IS Specifications. Special tips can also be supplied according to specific customer requirments, eg., half carbide tips. The CT Centres are available with Morse Taper shanks, in sizes from MT-1 to MT-6, and cone angle of 60". Other cone angles - 30° or 45" can also be supplied.
